Hello and welcome to Alaska Golf Packages which is a part the Golf Travel Deals network. My name is Jim Polak and I've been a golfer for over 20 years. Over the last several seasons I've become more serious about my golf game and have started taking one or two golf vacations per year. I watch golf on TV more than most people I know and I play fantasy golf at PGAtour.com and Yahoo Sports. My interest in golf led me to build the Golf Travel Deals network. Since I would eventually like to take one long-distance golf vacation each year, I figured why not build a site and share with people around the world what I learn about various golf destinations in the USA.

A little bit about myself: I work from home. I like to consider myself an internet infopreneur. This site is one piece of a large internet project I'll be working on throughout the course of 2007- 2008 and beyond. I've actually been working from home since
June of 2004(following a 7 year engineering career in the industry). I've dabbled in several different internet areas looking for a way to build a stable online income to support my family and to save for the future. I finally decided to go with what I know and what I'm good at. So I'm taking my interest in various topics and building content-based websites around my knowledge and research.
